No where in the US Constitution does it say anything about political parties. George Washington once said: "The common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it. It serves always to distract the Public Councils, and enfeeble the Public Administration. It agitates the Community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms; kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection." (Wikiquote)
I would suggest that Palin get out; either way, I would vote for her if today was Election Day. As an Individualist, I believe that parties should be abolished. It seems that the Two parties are practically the same. Speaking in majorities of parties, the only thing different seems to be abortion. We don't need no stinkin' parties. We need to start voting on person, not party.
Unfortunately, our Congress has the cancer of party within its infrastructure to the detriment of its original purpose. Right now, party has too much power. With a two-party system, the US government is just a parliamentary system with only two options instead of ten. We waste too much time and money on Party. We need to start supporting people not Party.
