Gov't posts sensitive list of US nuclear sites
Associated Press Writer Eileen Sullivan and H. Josef Hebert, Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON – The government accidentally posted on the Internet a list of government and civilian nuclear facilities and their activities in the United States, but a U.S. official said Wednesday the posting included no information that compromised national security.
[But then you read on...]
*In a statement, the Government Printing Office said Wednesday: "Upon being informed about potential sensitive nature of the attachment in this document, the Public Printer of the United States removed it from GPO's Web site pending further review. After consulting with the White House and Congress, it was determined that the document, including sensitive attachment, should be permanently removed from the Web site."
Was Vice President Biden behind this? It has to be him. This is too stupid not to be.
This is sad and scary. I thought the bumblings of the past President were going to change. There are changes though. If this was the Bush Administration the headline would be "Bush Administration posts sensitive list of US nuclear sites" or "White House posts sensitive list of US nuclear sites". No, it's the government posting. Read the second paragraph:
"The 266-page document was published on May 6 as a transmission from President Barack Obama to Congress. According to the document, the list was required by law and will be provided to the International Atomic Energy Agency." So why wasn't it sent physically or internally...and not on the public's website? Are these people dangerous or what? They can claim it wasn't sensitive information, but they did take it off the website immediately (once they found out).
After reading the statement from the GPO (above*), now read this from the same article: "While we would have preferred it not be released, the Departments of Energy, Defense, and Commerce and the NRC all thoroughly reviewed it to ensure that no information of direct national security significance would be compromised,"
So which one is it? "including sensitive attachment" or "no information of direct national security" So, I guess, it's important but not THAT important, but either way it should not have been posted.
I have to ask again: Was Vice President Biden behind this?
Why not? Here are VP Biden's previous record:
--Biden reportedly revealed the location of the bunker at a Gridiron Club dinner, where he told his dinner mates that the bunker was under the old U.S. Naval Observatory. Eleanor Clift, Newsweek magazine's Washington contributing editor, said Biden revealed the location while filling in for President Obama at the dinner, who, along with Grover Cleveland, is the only president to skip the gathering.

--"Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy." ... --In the one and only Vice Presidential debate Biden discussed a certain group of people in Europe called "Bosniacs"
--And that rhetorical question to Governor Jindal on the Early Show, was followed with this. “in Louisiana there’s 400 people a day losing their jobs, what’s he doing?” asks Biden. But that claim is wrong, if you look at the numbers from the Louisiana Workforce Commission. “In December, Louisiana was the only state in the nation besides the District of Columbia, according to the national press release that added employment over the month,” says Patty Granier with the Louisiana Workforce Commission. According to her, not only is Louisiana not losing jobs. “The state gained 3,700 jobs for the seasonally adjusted employment,” Granier said of the most recent figures.

--Democrats hustled to temper Vice President Joe Biden's comments today that he would advise his family to avoid flying or being in confined spaces because of concerns about swine flu, a comment that drew criticism from the travel industry.
